The result leaves Bournemouth in a strong position heading into the final two Premier League matches. If Iraola’s side continue their impressive form and win both remaining fixtures, they will guarantee at least Europa League football next season.

There is even an outside possibility of Champions League qualification depending on other results, including Aston Villa F.C.’s performance in European competition.

For Fulham, meanwhile, defeat all but ends their hopes of qualifying for Europe. While they showed moments of quality, missed chances and defensive indiscipline ultimately proved costly on a frustrating night at Craven Cottage.
