Jennifer Hudson once again proved why her talk show touches so many hearts. In a recent episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, the 44-year-old host invited 4-year-old WNBA fan Iman Taylor and his mother, Bianca, to her cozy couch for what seemed like a regular chat.
When Jennifer asked the little boy what he wanted for his fifth birthday, Iman didn’t hesitate — he wanted to meet his basketball idol, A’ja Wilson. With an innocent smile, he said, “Cause I love her super much.”
Iman’s mom, Bianca, explained that her own passion for basketball during high school had rubbed off on her son. The moment soon went viral after videos appeared online showing Iman jumping with joy when he received a jersey signed by A’ja Wilson.
Jennifer wasn’t done surprising her young guest. With a sparkle in her eye, she asked Iman if he wanted to have a small birthday celebration right there on stage. When he said “yes,” the audience erupted as A’ja Wilson walked out to join them.
Wearing stylish gray trousers and a matching vest, A’ja waved to the crowd before Iman sprinted into her arms for a big hug. Sitting on her lap, he looked up and said, “I love you!” The moment drew cheers and applause from everyone in the studio.
Jennifer and A’ja also chatted about the WNBA star’s signature style and her love for fashion, giving fans a glimpse of her life off the court.
While Iman may be her number one fan, millions admire A’ja Wilson for her exceptional career and character. The 29-year-old basketball player shines as a forward-center for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA.
Born and raised in South Carolina, A’ja discovered her love for basketball early in life. By eighth grade, she had already joined her school’s varsity team. Averaging 24.7 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game, she quickly became a standout athlete.
A’ja continued her rise at the University of South Carolina, where she played for the Gamecocks under legendary coach Dawn Staley. As a sophomore, she earned the SEC Player of the Year title for the first time.
In 2017, she led her team to the school’s first-ever national championship and captured the Most Outstanding Player award during the tournament. Her leadership, determination, and skill made her a role model for aspiring athletes everywhere.
After college, the Las Vegas Aces drafted A’ja Wilson as their top pick. She immediately proved herself by winning Rookie of the Year and guiding her team close to playoff contention.
Her incredible consistency helped her team secure three consecutive WNBA championships in 2022, 2023, and 2025. Along the way, she earned the MVP award four times, solidifying her legacy as one of the league’s greatest players.

Outside of basketball, A’ja’s warmth and humility continue to inspire fans. She shares her life with Bam Adebayo, a star player for the Miami Heat. The couple went public in early 2025 after appearing together before the 2024 Summer Olympics.
In February 2025, the University of South Carolina honored her by retiring her jersey number. During her emotional acceptance speech, she thanked her family, her teammates, and Bam, saying, “I wouldn’t be who I am today without the love, support, and sacrifices of so many people.”
The surprise meeting between Jennifer Hudson, A’ja Wilson, and little Iman Taylor quickly became one of the most talked-about moments from The Jennifer Hudson Show. It wasn’t just a celebrity encounter — it was a touching display of kindness, inspiration, and joy.
For Iman, meeting his hero felt like a dream come true. For viewers around the world, it reminded everyone that genuine acts of kindness can make lasting memories — especially when they come from the heart.
