Lawson last appeared in an NFL game on October 20, 2024, when he played 14 defensive snaps for the Carolina Panthers as a practice squad elevation. Two days later, Carolina released him. Since then, Lawson has remained on the free-agent market and has been waiting for the right opportunity.

Depending on his physical condition, Lawson could provide valuable depth for the Bills’ defensive front.
