A Legacy That Defined the Timberwolves

Garnett remains the most influential player in Timberwolves history. He earned 15 NBA All-Star selections and still leads the franchise in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. No other NBA player has ever led a single franchise in all five major statistical categories.

Garnett also delivered Minnesota’s only MVP award during the 2003–04 season. That same year, he guided the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals. From 1996–97 through 2003–04, he led the team to eight straight playoff appearances. Until the 2024 postseason run, Minnesota failed to win another playoff series after that era.
